IGL Smart Card-Retail

Definitions:

  • IGL Smart Card - Retail is a Program which is owned and operated by MGL at MGL RO and is targeted at individual vehicle owners.
  • Membership and benefits of IGL Smart Card - Retail are offered at the sole discretion of Mahanagar Gas Limited, hereinafter called as MGL.
  • ‘MGL RO’ means participating MGL Retail Outlets (CNG Stations) at which the IGL Smart Card - Retail would be accepted.
  • ‘Member’ means a Member of IGL Smart Card - Retail.
  • ‘Card’ - Retail refers to the pre-paid card that you receive as a Member of IGL Smart Card - Retail.
  • ‘Data’ means personal information provided in the application form.
  • MGL - Mahanagar Gas Limited, one of the India's leading Natural Gas Distribution Companies. MGL is an enterprise of GAIL (India) Limited (Maharatna Company of Govt. of India), Government of Maharashtra and BG Asia Pacific Holdings Pte. Limited (owned by Royal Dutch Shell group).

Membership Enrolment:

  • Membership is open to all individuals who are aged 18 (eighteen) years or more by Pre-login at www.mahanagargas.com or www.mglcard.com or Login at POS Terminals installed at MGL CNG Stations.
  • The enrolment fee is nonrefundable.
  • IGL Smart Card will be handed over to the Member on the spot at MGL CNG station after successful registration and payment of Enrollment Fees.
  • All cards will be provided with a PIN feature.
  • The card is non-transferable and intended for personal use only. Any liability arising due to card loss, misuse, or out of sharing of PIN consciously or otherwise, would render the Member liable for all losses.
  • The Member will be solely responsible for the inconvenience or inability to use the card due to forgetting the PIN till the time MGL Customer Care is intimated. The card will then The Member should take adequate precautions to protect the card and prevent damage.
  • Should a card be lost, a fresh application can be made for a replacement card on payment. The latest charges would be available on request and can be viewed on the website of the program.
  • The loss of the card should be intimated to MGL Helpline immediately, and MGL shall arrange to hotlist the card. However, MGL will not be liable for any misuse whatsoever during the interim period.
  • If the hot listed card is subsequently found, it cannot be de-hot listed and the card holder will have to apply for a replacement card.
  • All communication will be deemed to have been received by the Member and MGL bears no responsibility for communication not received or lost in the mail.

Loading and Payment:

  • The card will have the electronic equivalent of cash loaded on the NFC Card which will be referred to as e-cash. The amount can be loaded with the Manager of the MGL RO having the loading facility.
  • The amount can also be loaded through many online & E-Wallet options. The details are available at www.mahanagargas.com or www.mglcard.com
  • The e-cash is a payment towards future purchases.
  • The minimum load amount at each time would be ₹ 100 per card. Any additional amount desired to be loaded would be in the multiples of ₹100/-
  • First Load is ₹ 200/- and subsequent in multiple of 100/-
  • The Member permits MGL to use the ‘Data’ for marketing activities. However, MGL would ensure confidentiality.

General:

  • MGL reserves the right to discontinue IGL Smart Card - Retail membership to any Member who appears to be using the program in a manner inconsistent with the terms and conditions or intent of the program or any portion of the program, including, but not limited to, reward redemption. MGL also reserves the right to discontinue membership for any Member who acts in a manner inconsistent with local or state laws, statutes or ordinances.
  • All interpretations of program rules shall be at the sole discretion of MGL.
  • MGL reserves the right to add, modify, delete or otherwise change any of the rules, conditions, benefits, rewards or reward level pertaining to the program at its sole discretion, with or without notice.

  • The program and any benefit, offering or the like relating to the program, shall not be construed as to constitute a contract or otherwise establish a contractual relationship between MGL and any Member.
  • Nothing in the IGL Smart Card - Retail Program rules is intended or shall be construed to create or establish any agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between MGL and the Members and partners.
  • The Program has no predetermined termination date and may continue until such time as MGL decides to terminate the program, at any time, with or without notice.
  • Each Member is responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to the program rules and MGL will send Email and SMS to Members to advise them of matters of interest, including notification of program changes However neither MGL nor program management service providers nor the owners of participating outlets nor companies participating as partners in the program will be liable for any failure to do so and will not be responsible for correspondence lost or delayed in the mail. The latest terms and conditions shall be available on request or can be viewed on the website of the program.
  • All telephone instructions received and verified shall be deemed proper and MGL shall not be liable for executing these instructions in good faith. All such telephone instructions will be treated as having been written and signed.

  • Terms and conditions of IGL Smart Card - Retail Program are governed by the laws of the Republic of India and will be restricted to the Mumbai jurisdiction.

IGL Smart Card-Fleet

Definitions:

  • “IGL Smart Card” is a program designed as a fleet management tool and targeted to CNG vehicle fleets and individual vehicles by Mahanagar Gas Limited, hereinafter called as “MGL”.
  • “MGL RO” means select MGL retail outlets (CNG pumps) at which the IGL Smart Card will be accepted.
  • “Member” means a member of the IGL Smart Card Fleet Program on approval, which is, any business entity controlling a fleet of vehicles.
  • “Card” refers to the IGL Smart Card - Fleet.
  • “Vehicle” refers to any CNG consuming unit.

Membership & Enrollment:

  • Any business entity or individual with fleet size of minimum 2 vehicles can enroll into the IGL Smart Card - Fleet Program.
  • Any individual designated by the member for using the MGL Fuel Fleet Card must be above 18 years of age.
  • Fleet can comprise all types of vehicles.
  • Applicants can only apply for the pre-paid facility on the card.
  • Incomplete and unsigned applications are liable to be rejected.
  • MGL reserves the right to grant or refuse membership to IGL Smart Card - Fleet Program.
  • Each business entity will be given only one card per vehicle.
  • Cards will be delivered to the Applicants authorized representative only after receiving the card cost and verifying the complete application form.
  • The member should take adequate precautions to protect the cards and prevent damage.
  • Should a card be lost, a fresh application can be made for a new one on payment. The latest charges would be available on request and can be viewed at the website of the program.
  • All cards will be provided with a PIN feature to be activated on first usage.
  • Any liability arising due to card loss, misuse, or out of sharing of PIN consciously or otherwise, would render the member liable for all losses.
  • The loss of the card should be intimated to Help Desk immediately, and MGL shall arrange to hotlist the card. However, MGL will not be liable for any misuse whatsoever during the interim period.
  • Any change of information as provided in the IGL Smart Card - Fleet Application Form must be notified to IGL Smart Card - Fleet Service Centre.
  • The IGL Smart Card - Fleet Program has no predetermined termination date and may continue until such time as MGL decides to terminate the Program, at any time, with or without notice.
  • The card cost is non-refundable.
  • All communication will be sent to the address given in the IGL Smart Card - Fleet Application Form and it is the responsibility of the member to inform IGL Smart Card Service Centre about any changes in the address.
  • All communication will be deemed to have been received by the member and MGL bears no responsibility for communication not received or lost in the mail or courier.
  • The member permits MGL to use the information provided in the IGL Smart Card - Fleet Application Form for issuance of the card in marketing activities, but would ensure confidentiality.
  • All telephone instructions received and verified shall be deemed proper and MGL shall not be liable for executing these instructions in good faith. All such telephone instructions will be treated as having been written and signed.

MGL also reserves the right to discontinue membership for any member who acts in a manner inconsistent with local or state laws, statutes or ordinances.
  • All interpretations of Program rules shall be at the sole discretion of MGL.
  • MGL reserves the right to add, modify, delete or otherwise change any of the rules, conditions, benefits, pertaining to the Program at its sole discretion, with or without notice.
  • The Program and any benefit, offering or the like relating to the Program, shall not be construed as to constitute a contract or otherwise establish a contractual relationship between MGL and any IGL Smart Card - Fleet Member.
  • Nothing in IGL Smart Card - Fleet Program rules is intended or shall be construed to create or establish any agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between MGL and the members and partners.
  • Terms and conditions of IGL Smart Card - Fleet Program are governed by the laws of the Republic of India and will be restricted to the Mumbai jurisdiction under the Mumbai High Court.
